Last weekend the Riverside Baja took place in Rechnitz / Burgenland and Sarvar.
That was the fourth run as a part of FIA CEZ (Central European Zone) Cross Country Series or the second run of the Hungarian Cross Country championship. Co-organised by me!
The planned prologue was unfortunately called off due to heavy rain in order not to destroy the by the community authorized streets. 18 cars, 4 motorcycles and 16 quad bikes / ATV started the first race on Friday afternoon and covered 800 kilometers.
On Saturday the tracks were typical for Cross Country Terrain: field and forest trails with potholes and sludge. On the next and last day the tracks were simultaneously used by the rally championship. Therefore it became fast and closely. This combination makes the Riverside Baja unique and exciting. My co-driver Niko Huber started there his first rallye and performed very well.
The result:
3rd rank in our category and 9th rank overall.
With sporty regards
